Hi all, just wanted to give a heads up for Pokémon Pitch Black release this week! Because we have two events next week (Community Game Night at the Lions Clubhouse on Tuesday, and Trade & Play Night at MADA on Saturday), we’re going to stagger how much we make available so that we can have enough for both booths along with release day. That said, because our allocation from distro is once again really small, that means that each day’s availability is going to be that much smaller. Here’s how we’re going to break it down:
Release Day – Friday 7/17 – On the website there will be:
- 3 Booster Boxes – $200 each
- 3 Elite Trainer Boxes – $65 each
- 4 Booster Bundles (6 packs) – $36 each
Community Game Night -Tuesday 7/21 (5-8pm) – At our pop-up shop there will be:
- 36 Booster Packs – $6 each
- 3 Elite Trainer Boxes
- 3 Booster Bundles
Trade & Play Night – Saturday 7/25 (6-9pm) – At our booth there will be:
- 1 Booster Box
- 36 Booster Packs
- 3 Elite Trainer Boxes
- 3 Booster Bundles
- …along with anything left over from Tuesday.
Anything left over after that will go up on the website on Monday 7/27.
(Oh yeah, and don’t forget that sales tax is already baked into all of our prices, in case you weren’t already aware! 😁)
This is the first time we’re trying something at this scale, so hopefully this won’t be too much of a headache for all of us. 😅 I’m hoping that this will make it possible for those who miss the drop on release day to actually have a chance at getting some Pokemon. As always, there will be per-person limits so that we can try to give as many people a chance as possible:
- Booster boxes – LIMIT 1 PER PERSON
- ETBs – LIMIT 1 PER PERSON
- Bundles – LIMIT 1 PER PERSON until after Trade & Play Night. If there are any left that go on the site afterward, you may purchase up to 1 more.
- Packs – Limit 6 per person PER EVENT. If there are any left that go on the site afterward, you may purchase up to 6 more per person, per week.
So, that’s what we’re going to try and see how it goes! I’m sorry if this seems overly complicated! I can’t tell you how much we appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we work hard to improve things and create systems that make things as fair as possible for our awesome community. Your support during every new release, growing pains and all, puts us that much closer to opening that much-needed game store for Montrose!
