Ultraman Team Match Tournament

We will be hosting our first “Team Match” tournament for the Ultraman Card Game during our Community Game Day!

What is the Team Match?

The “Team Match” brings a new dynamic to the tournament scene by encouraging team-based battles. Designed to complement the main competition format, the event promotes participation among family members and friends. The Team Match tournaments are not just serving as battle spaces, but as community hubs for communication and connection!

How to Participate

Only one representative from each team needs to apply for the tournament using the Ultra League app. This representative will complete the standard tournament check-in process as usual.

Their partner must check in separately at the venue through an offline registration process.

All Swiss matchmaking and result reporting will be handled by the team representative through the app.

Format and Rules

Each team consists of two players, and the tournament will follow a Swiss round format ensuring that all teams get to play multiple rounds regardless of their win-loss record.

1. Before each match begins, both teams declare their First Player and Second Player
2. The First Players from each team face off.
3. Then the Second Players face off.
4. The team that wins two matches in total is declared the winner of the round.

If both teams win one match each, they must select one player to participate in a deciding tiebreaker match. The winner of this final game determines the overall round victory for their team.

Entry Fee & Prizes

Entry to the tournament is FREE! Participation is limited to 9 teams (18 total players). Participating teams will each receive special Ultraman Rosso and Ultraman Blu promo cards! (Player A will get Rosso and Player B will get Blue). The winners of the event will be given a second set of promos (one Rosso and one Blu).

Ultra League Points

Participants in the Team Match will receive participation points. However, victory and championship points will not be awarded in this format.
